Outside the Cheng Kin Ku Building, LSE – A whole building closed, lectures and classes moved online, and the Law School left homeless. (Oh, and the Department of Geography too I suppose).
Most have managed to take this building-wide disturbance in their stride: when asked how he felt about the building closure, one law student O. Liver simply responded: “I dunno, I just went to Marshall instead”
Despite this, we can’t help but wonder how a closure of this scale has happened. The answer? Not what you’d think: an insider source told The Raccoon that, far from electrical cable malfunction, the real reason behind the building closure was a desire for a few days off.
“Everyone in the building works such long hours, standing around and having to listen to the same ‘I forgot my ID but can you let me in’ speech a million times,” they shared with us. “I’m surprised we didn’t have this ‘closure’ sooner.”
CKK’s doors are set to be shut until Wednesday morning, at the earliest.
